Hello Medical Professionals ~

Hi Folks.

Sad news...I must attend a funeral service tomorrow (Friday) in Fresno. I will be available by phone. Call my cell if it is an urgent matter. Text me with info on absences, etc. Thank you.

It’s almost time for community classroom/internship to end for this school year. Internship ends on Friday, May 27th. The students all agree that their experience has been very helpful in assisting them with their career and post-secondary education choices.

The information below outlines an assignment that has been assigned to the ROP students.

The idea behind this assignment is to create a “survival kit”/procedure manual for each site, so next year’s student has a chance to review the information for 3 to 4 weeks prior to internship next Fall.

This procedure manual will stay at the site once internship begins and will serve as a reference manual that can be updated regularly the student and staff.

The students have been asked to work with you and/or your staff to ensure that all materials, including forms, brochures, business cards, photos of completed trays/rooms are authorized/approved prior to going into the binder.

If there is a morning and an afternoon student(s) under your supervision, I will ask them to create the manual together in order to prevent duplication of effort. The materials for the binder are due on Wednesday, May 18th. We will assemble the binders in class. The evaluation of the student is also due that day and the student will give that to you or a staff member.

Thank you for your wonderful support of the Medical Occupations Program! Please call me if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Laurie Erceg, CCMA-A

Gratitude

The only message I have for you today is to ask that you be grateful for family, friends and the opportunities that are presented to you every day.

Let's send our thoughts and prayers to all that are being affected by the earthquake in Japan. My son is there on a Naval ship and I can only imagine how difficult it is for everyone there.

Still Working on Finishing Strong!

Hi All,

As we approach the last few months of school, keep in mind that this is the time when you have the opportunity to shine! I am anxious to have a discussion with you on how your plans are going for your life, college, summer work, etc. Have you been offered a position at your site? Please let me know, as that information will be announced at the Tri-Valley ROP Medical Occupations Advisory Meeting on April 14th. Let's get those portfolios ready to take along to interviews. That is on our agenda!

Remember, I am stretched thin at times, but I always want to talk to you if you need me. I may need to call you back, but I will do so promptly. How can I help you finish strong?

Let me know if you need any assistance with the medical insurance assignment due on Wed.
